Climbou steps

Stairs. To climb these stairs for us adults is an uninteresting skill. Try to think about all the acts our bodies have to perform to do that next time you climb up or down any stairs. For kids from toddler to preschool age it is a hard task, which is necessary to phase into individual steps.

At first children climb over the Climbou steps and crawl over them. They learn to turn to climb on the upper plate. Kids need to learn where to place their foot. Where to hold by hand and how to turn their body. That is a task they need days and some months to complete.

Thanks to Climbou steps we prepare “small” dangers for your kids. Our task is to protect children from the “big” dangers. Allow them to understand the “small” ones so they can adopt them.

  • Place the steps in your room so that children have enough space around themselves.
  • Let them climb over the steps freely under supervision. In the ways they know already on a flat surface –  crawling, on their knees or standing.
  • The upper plate might later temp them to jump. Let them safely try that as well.
  • That way they train their gross motor skills and overall motor development in the safe environment of their house and under your supervision.

BONUS: Once kids get older it is possible to turn the steps over and change them into a boat that holds up to 4 sailors. Its big base ensures its stability and teaches kids coordination and collaboration to swing it. They train their internal stabilisation system by doing that.
